Konark

The holy land of Blue mountains,
Encircled by a bracelet shaped beach
Konark is a legend,
narrating a legacy of the divine...

Here stood, with a princely gait
A majestic chariot, carrying the glory of the past
Intricately woven into its pillars and walls,
timeless tales of saints and lords.
A chill ran down my spine and
I knew the magic has been done...
Slowly the  ghungroos, and mridanga tuned with the gargling waves
The sound from the flute sweetened the salty wind
Each curve of the body ensued an artistry
that echoed the story written in the stones...
The cosmic rhythm infused the muted sculptures and hypnotized the audience

Under the moonlit sky
Konark was enliven into a tangible divinity

Will you come to me?

See the morning rose has blossomed How full and fresh its gaze The table spread with poems of sunlight yellow curtains sway with poetry's rhyme; Floating your flock of hair Setting waves in the wind alone Will you again come tome? The birds in the garden, happiness murmurs in the leaves, Shirts and pyjamas on hangers tremble like untold dreams Will you come to me with your scented breath? White pigeons shedding feathers on old grave flies off to the sky; on the strong arms of grave-diggers suddenly leaps up a jasmine flower smiling sweetly; will you come again to me? So many dreamy telegrams on telephhone strings As if enchanted flight of birds------- Dripping your moonshine voice in the air Will you come again to me? Bird cries among rains, eyebrows, lips, Rain flow relentlessly like loneliness tearing the knitted soul Will you again come to me? At twilight I have finally found a golden key to open A non existent door, an unkempt boy stands holding a crane in his hands.. Newspapers fly like silken flags discarded coffee tins and lamp holders---- Full of dreams , I go to sleep In the shade of wordless silence Will you come to me again????

Abused love

As a consequence of a current reality show which showcased an episode on child sexual abuse, that jolted the dormant souls of our nation, it is quite abhorring to accept the attitude, and the way of conduct of the cream of our society and our leaders. It is deeply regretted that a cartoon image that appeared decades ago in our text books initiated such an uproar in the parliament that Our home minister had to apologise for its publication, whereas there exists no law that would protect children against sexual harassment. If a satirical cartoon expression of a great cartoonist can be provocative enough to create biasness among school kids, then it wouldn’t be surprising to consider that the children of such a nation are the most protected against objectionable stuffs. On the contrary the scenario is a blemished reality, where 53% of our country’s children are victim of Child Sexual Abuse. They hail from all segments of the society and most of the time has been abused by someone who is highly trusted by the family members. This clearly states that our children are not safe even at home. Its been 64 years of India’s independence, and the bill against Child Sexual Abuse is still pending in the parliament to be sanctioned. Our ministers , leaders, social activists are so preoccupied by petty agendas, that vital sensitive social issues have spread like cancer cells. Its high time that we woke up to the call of our nation where her children are facing brutal reality through physical harassment, emotional provocation, exposure to textual or obscene visual substances that has bruised their childhood and snatched away their innocence. Lets not forget that we borrow this world from our children and hence let us all endeavour to give our children a blissful childhood and a blessed future.

the resurrection

On the verge of utter hopelessness, when I was just about to question the existence of God, I came across you.
A modest embodiment, a persona of the most simplistic aura, and the subtle penumbra of your nature soothed my blemished soul.
The bruises of the past were not yet healed, the scars were deep indeed, the blades of the agonies tampered the soft petals of the soul, heartlessly ripping it apart.
On the outside, I had forgotten who am I, whats my worth, where should I hide my charred body. My dear ones lost hope on me, thought, soon I am going to perish and turned their faces.
It was right then when I saw a distant light, soft but powerful, mellowed yet convincing, far but still I could see it and feel its presence.
Slowly it penetrated my wounds, and the healing effect was simply magical.
Its beams caressed the wretchedness and steadily unmasked my careless beauty.
The heaviness that bore on me, lifted up, the dark clouds faded away, the brightness was inevitable.
I opened my eyes and fought with a stubborn lock of hair that nestled itself on my eyelids.
I let my self out of my cocoon and step into the new dawn. I see myself ablaze, resurrected, in the glory of your love.

imprudent bargain.....

I know I have nothing to ask from you...

If i ask for concern,

I get ignorance

If I ask for kindness,

I get scolded

If I ask for decissions,

You ask me to stall

If i ask for help,

you would just simply surpass them

If i ask for love

i would just be greeted with a nasty look

If i ask for forgiveness,

You punish me even more

If i desire to remain close,

You would make sure that i get repelled

If I ask for a fraction of a moments happiness,

I get enough pain to last me a life time

But

One thing that I certainly not ask for and am scared that you would give it to me sooner or later...

that is Freedom from our relationship

Let this bond be eternal and blissful...

A thought for the day

live beyond death,
love beyond self,
look beyond looks,
give beyond gain..
.transcend beyond horizon,
exist beyond being.....
All of this make one immortal;
and unbound by frame of time and space
